We specialise in pre-school dance classes, running two sessions during the week:
Ballet Babies (from walking age to 3yrs)
Mondays 9.30am - 10.30am
Fridays 10.30am - 11.30am
£5 per class
Our popular tiny tots dance class. A light-hearted and fun way to start dancing. Parents stay and watch or join in which ever they feel most comfortable doing. Classes have a short break in the middle for light refreshments.
Little Dancers (3 - 4yrs)
Saturdays 9.30am - 10.30am
Both classes are very popular.
After this, children are encouraged to go to our associate dance school, owned and run by Roseanna's mum, the Diane Bradbury Theatre Dance School, across the road at Abercrombie Street. Children then carry on their dance training within that school which has been running for over 30 years and has a very good reputation.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Singing, acting and dancing all join together to make Musical Theatre. Children work with songs from Musicals, following the Trinity Guildhall syllabus to create pieces of work that are put forward for examination.
They work with a musical director, choreographer and director on scenes from musicals to create polished pieces of work.
Musical Theatre class is a great way to put to use skills children may have already picked up in dance classes or singing classes at other schools, as well as being for the simply curious beginner. Accuracy and precision are encouraged in Senior Musical Theatre, with students being encouraged to be confident and self-aware. Students have access to a highly-qualified and experienced staff, which encourage and nurture a high-standard of performance. The complexity of movement and music goes up a step in the senior class, and students are encouraged to act through the song, gaining a knowledge of music at the same time.
DRAMA
This very popular class follows the Trinity Guildhall syllabus. Children are encouraged to take part in drama examinations that improve their drama skills and build their confidence.
Imagination is the key tool used to unlock the childrens confidence and introduce them to acting and theatre-making.
Tutors: Jonathan Francis, Roseanna Sanderson, Gabrielle Mason, Jess Widdowson.

A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
Our annual showcase at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield was a great success. Gay Bolton, Entertainments Editor of the Derbyshire Times called it, "much more than a run-of-the-mill, all-singing, all-dancing show." It was a marvellous evening which showed our audiene how wonderfully versatile we are as a school. A big thank you to all who took part!
A GREAT NIGHT
AT THE SUMMER BALL
This year's Summer Ball, organised by Wendy Barnett and the FOCS (Friends of Chesterfield Studios) was a great night, bringing together our oldest and youngest students for an end of term party at the Winding Wheel Ballroom.

Classes are conducted on a one-to-one basis or in shared groups at the discression of the teacher.

Classes take place throughout the week in drama and musical theatre, with students receiving first-rate tuition by trained tutors.
